Pavel Borkunov: Image
Borkunov’s work is fundamentally about colour, following the artist’s own way of thinking. He started painting in 1996, and have since been studying colour theory. His use of colour and composition are distinctively bold, making his work stand out and his style recognisable throughout the themes that the artist chooses to work with. Borkunov’s practice is influenced by the mystical writings of Daniil Andreev, Shri Aerobindo, Karlos Kastaneda and Andrey Tarkovsky films.
A graduate from Moscow Academic Art School Commemorating 1905 and prestigious Moscow State Academic Surikov Art School, Pavel Borkunov is now a member of Moscow Artist Union.
