TATIANA ABRAMOVA
Moscow
Tatiana Abramova: Image
Abramova’s work is influenced by Russian Suprematism, American Abstract Expressionism, as well as contemporary minimalism. Her landscapes and still lives emerge from the clash of local composition and complex colour, opening new possibilities for interpretation.
Abramova looks for details that emerge naturally through applying oil paint on canvas, trying to define a figure, a landscape, a still life, through the nuances of lines between lightness and darkness. Her free brushstrokes and marks collide with a confined structure and straight lines that are allusive of architectural design that Abramova is also drawn to.
She had her first solo exhibition in 2013 in Moscow, and been exhibiting widely since, including several shows in St Petesburg, Russia, and Germany, and a recent Fourth Edition of the prestigious ‘Royal Arts Prize Exhibition’ at La Galleria Pall Mall, London. Abramova’s work is in private collections in Russia, Europe and North America.
She lives and works in Moscow, Russia.
