Anna Krasnaya

Anna Krasnaya graduated from St Petersburg Herzen University, acquiring a degree in painting. She quickly became prominent on the international art scene thanx to her distinctive style and masterful technique.
Her style is an intricate synthesis of various epochs, genres and ideas in painting, seen through the context of contemporary postmodern thinking and aesthetics. In her work Krasnaya explores motives borrowed from Renaissance, as well as Modernism, pop-art and Neoclassicism. Her influences range from Da Vinci to Roy Lichtenstein and Edward Hopper. It’s the recognisable settings, up to date allusions and subtle humour that make Anna Krasnaya’s work so keenly contemporary, relevant and appealing to any viewer. Her focus is on people in the modern society and the environment they exist in, or struggle to exist in.

Anna’s work is in collections in Russia, France, Sweden, Latvia, Guatemala, Montenegro, Serbia.
